If you are considering purchasing a new mobile phone you might not want to rush into the purchase. Buyer’s remorse is something that ends up affecting many of us who make rash decisions when it comes to buying mobile phones. However if you want to avoid buyer’s remorse then you need to think about the following:.

- Do you really need a new mobile phone? Many of us just buy a new mobile phone every single year whether or not we need one. So we could have a mobile phone at home which works perfectly fine but we are buying a new one anyway. Most of the time we just dump the mobile phone we have just replaced in a drawer or shelf somewhere in the house. If you don’t really need a new phone then why buy one?

- Would you be better off waiting for a bit before buying? You may find that if you wait just a couple of months, that there will be a new exciting phone released which you could buy instead. Not delaying your purchase could mean that you feel you are missing out when this new phone appears and you will quickly become unhappy with the phone you have.

- Do you really want to buy a first generation phone? If there is a new phone coming out that is first generation you might want to avoid purchasing this. Sure it is nice to have something new, but first generation phones are usually plagued with problems.

- If the price of the phone likely to fall soon? It usually costs much more to buy a phone when it is first released than when it has been out for a while. Sometimes it is just better to wait.

- Is this Mobile Phone Locked? If the mobile phone you want to buy is locked into a certain phone service you might want to give it a miss – especially if this is a network that you don’t really want to join.

iPod Versus Zune MP3 Player – 3 Reasons to Get A Zune

There is a lot of hype around the release of the Zune MP3 player. Microsoft claims that their portable media device is a real iPod killer. But the reality may not be that easy. There are 3 reasons that makes us believe that the Zune can succeed at its promise. Two of them are already in existence but the third one is more on our wish list. By the way the Zune is cheaper than the iPod and is considered a high quality brand.

Wi-fi connectivity
With the introduction of the zune in November, Microsoft brings the portable media players on new grounds. The Wi-fi feature will enable users to socialize within their music universe. The social web as took all the attention on the internet in the last year or so. With the Zune, a part of that trend becomes “portable”. Exchanging a song or a video may look boring but doing it with the Zune and at the speed of a Wi-fi network will be very attractive for young people. On a negative note, the drm feature (Digital Rights Management) could eventually generate frustration among Zune users.

Integrated Marketplace
The subscription base Zune Marketplace could be a real skyrocket feature. Being able to access an online database of new music without having to download it first to your computer will make the Zune a real and first “portable media device”. The other important aspect of the Zune Marketplace is the ability to download as many songs as you want for a flat fee. If we can access the Zune Marketplace thru a public wi-fi network it will be a real technology and music orgasm!

VoIp Phone
This feature has not been announced by Microsoft (yet!) but it would be like a cherry on a sundae to have it. Imagine if your Wi-fi portable device could connect thru internet to access a VoIp network. This feature should not be very difficult to develop because most of the required hardware is already there (besides the microphone). A VoIp phone would be a lot easier to release compared to a real mobile phone which requires a lot more integration work and approvals.Related Content:
